On what catalyst? You expecting a strong earnings season?

Not really.... Expectations have been lowered so much so even if companies beat on earnings it cant be classified as a strong earning season. What has started to rekindle our rally is Asia. There has been a major increase in money flow into asian equities. When Asian equities entered their bear market around early/mid 2015, American equities stalled. Right now Asian markets (Nikkei & Hang seng) are just in the beginning of a major bull run & it will lift global equites. Also lets not forget emerging markets are about to break out to the upside as well. That is also lifting the markets. Shorts are about to get slaughtered.

Only thing keeping the market at these levels is liquidity provided by central banks. Thats really the only thing to trade on anymore. Sentiment is getting a bit too bullish for my liking, though. Macro backdrop is ugly, so the slightest disappointment with regards to a major CB's policy seems like it could drive a significant risk off move again.

The fukk do I know, though? Timing this shyt has become a fool's errand.

What kind of trading style do you specialise in? Are you a day trader, swing trader or long term trader.

Also just turn off all that CNBC chatter. Thats the one decision that has helped my trading. A lot of unnecessary fear is being spread to retail investors by these guys. Every day there is always some issue that could bring forth "The correction/Collapse of US equities!!" Its either China, or brexit or Russia. Now they have decided to harp on about the potential collapse of Italian Banks. even though Italians banks have been in distress for the past year.

I dont specialize in any:russ:I tend to trade/invest more macro than anything.

CNBC is comedy, but Im not so sure on your point about the big boys trying to shake retail out. There's been heavy institutional selling pressure for a good amount of time now.

Even among institutional investors there are smart one & just plain dumb ones. =)

I myself specialise in swing, day trading (by use of options contracts) & also long term trading. If you ever decide to start day or swing trading, or just want an idea on where market is headed you can just take a trip to my twitter Konye Bisong (@Dreamestorical) on Twitter Once in a while i post some charts for day swing traders. I have a pretty good track record if i might add. =)

I posted this yesterday, I want to increase my profit on my Coli stock trader account . Right now I'm getting a 27% percent return, how can I raise that? How can increase my money and buy more stocks, I want a million by September . In real life I have these same stocks just not the same amount invested in.

Sequoia is finally all the way out of VRX. Finally time to average down again. That selling pressure should be subsiding.

:francis:
I got in at $34 CAD...if it wasnt for the Brexit shyt I wouldve double my position when it was at $26 but whatever:manny:

I'm in VRX for the long haul. Shame that Brexit made me sell all except my american holdings. Twitter and GoPro both beasted subsequently. Soon as the tech earnings releases pass I'm buying SPY puts. Eff this.
