What are your thoughts on gold/silver? Ive actually started to buy psychical gold coins and silver bars lately just to diversify some of my cash holdings. However, I don't necassarily look at it as an investment.

My thoughts were that the gold price to silver price ratio is traditionally 1:35 and right now its standing somewhere around 1:80. If the pairing goes back to traditional ratios, theres a shyt load of room for silver to appreciate.

I don't really like it. Gold especially has just about no utility. But since the beginning of mankind we've always valued it. I consider it a fear trade. I wouldn't allocate more than 5% of my portfolio to it.

I had 13 contracts of NUGT ... 2017 bought $11, sold $15 (since split). Sold 11 the other day to pay down my premium and left myself with 2. Not sure I see continued upside with gold, but if it manages to exceed my contract price and the price of the ones I sold, maybe make about $1,000

Free money at this point
