Why you laughing at a black ceo stepping down. :unimpressed:

In some ways you could suggest she was setup to fail. :francis::ufdup:
Oh - i dont' know the CEO. Just that is always one of FE's top picks. So laughing at the FE pick - another one that flopped

Imagine working a second job vs just eating better and going to the gym. This can't be life...

I get some people may not benefit from eating better and exercise... but that is very rare. They aren't applying themselves Smokey
That’s exactly how I feel. This is actually crazy. Like, having a salad, some fruits, and walking would literally solve the problem for majority of these people.

I think my new strategy is just selling puts on recent buyout rumor pops

- BB
- S
- TWNK

The rumor comes out about buyout. It just hangs around after the pop. If i sell CSP between near the original share price before pop or even slightly higher. Should be free money

Should... :to:

Not worried about Rite Aid scenario? Also that new drug law/shift in California?
CVS has multiple streams of making incomes.

I watch them period over period. I kinda ask myself about the Brick and Mortar liability with the rise of theft....

However their profit margins from their "real business" is :wow:

Like always its a long term play. :hubie:

I'm not trying get rich overnight. :hubie:

Going long in CVS starting Monday.

Will be building a position. Plan to hold this baby for 10+ years.

CVS is running this healthcare shyt.

They own PBM(CareMark), Health Plan(Aetna) and Retail Pharmacies.

They make money coming and going.

Their PBM is more profitable than their retail stores. Because PBM can write a blank check and @No1 knows the true underlying costs associated with drugs. It's basically a conflict of interest.

And don't get me started on drug pricing. Even your generic $5 drug prescriptions are overpriced :mjlol:. A lot drugs are literally being acquired for pennies.

3 PBM's control 80% of the market, and look who owns most of it

One of the things CVS got right is getting the customer to “buy in”. Those damn coupons KEEP YOU COMING BACK! I thought they were more expensive than everyone else (I’ve realized that’s actually Walgreens :wtf::gucci:) , but my colleagues told me to pay attention to their coupons and to just save them until I’m ready to purchase a lot.

Those damn coupons are no joke when properly utilized!

It’s a neverending feedback loop. You spend a bunch, get some handy coupons, which makes you want to buy everything at CVS because you’ll get a good deal if you use the coupons you got last time you shopped.

Same thing with that damn Starbucks rewards membership. Spending too much on stupid drinks to earn points you can redeem for one damn drink. :wow:

But they congratulate you every time you earn more points 🥹

Great point; I forgot to mention another major selling point of CVS: the Minute Clinic. This gets the patient inside the door, which is big for retail locations, because once you're somewhere you're likely to buy other things while you're there. So the minute clinic may hypothetically refer you to the pharmacy a few steps away, then while you're waiting for your prescription you may do a little shopping for essentials.

The concept of the Minute Clinic offers subsidized and convenient healthcare, benefiting the customer.

Within the healthcare sector, there is currently a lot of consolidation and shifting of costs. One major and long-standing dispute centers around labor and pay.

Currently, not many doctors want to be Primary Care Physicians, leading to a shortage. These roles are typically being filled by immigrant/foreign doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.

In essence, the pay scale for a Primary Care Physician or Internal Medicine Doctor ranges from $175,000 to $320,000 on average, while hiring an NP or PA for the same role might cost between $90,000 and $160,000, depending on the market and hours. This has the potential for cost savings.

Additionally, American doctors aren't truly incentivized to become PCPs. Many doctors in medical school seek to specialize, and here's why:

@Serious Brick and Mortar scares me. I used to just go and pick up to support the local economy and stuff - even if it was a Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, whatever.... Now the convenience of Amazon ... has me crossed to the dark side

I haven't shopped in person for years. Heck, I even get my groceries delivered to my door during work hours. :heh:

I'm probably Amazon's ideal customer, considering how much I spend with them.

Nevertheless, there are still people who need to see, touch, feel aspect of shopping. I doubt that will disappear unless mass shootings continue to escalate. :beli:
