Goldman Sachs posted third-quarter results Tuesday that topped analysts’ expectations for profit and revenue on better-than-expected trading results.

Here are the numbers:

  • Earnings: $8.25 a share. vs. $7.69 per share estimate according to Refinitiv
  • Revenue: $11.98 billion, vs. $11.41 billion estimate



Here’s what Wall Street expects:

  • Trading Revenue: Fixed Income $3 billion, Equities $2.59 billion
  • Investing Banking: $1.84 billion

10 and 30 year bonds making new lows thus the continuation of the feds qe and inflation. Not good for markets. Imagine you’re a fund that brought a few years ago at 1%, now you’re looking to sell way below market due to the rates now.
