Nah it's just people piling up on what they think the next move is. Eventually valuation comes into play.

They have contracts in hand. Amazon already has up to 100,000 electric delivery vans on order.

We'll see what happens. But I feel it's going to still be worth 2-3 times more than Ford, GM in 2-3 years. It's not always about the numbers. It's about what people value it to be.

I wanna know the math that gets Rivian to be worth about $100 billion. I mean if you had $100 billion to spend would you spend it on that company? Maybe one day they're worth that but have they even sold 1000 trucks yet? This company right now is worth more than Ford. To me it seems like Ford will have an easier time scaling to EVs than Rivian.

:mjlol:F owns 10% of Rivian. So it don't matter what Rivian does, FORD will eat regardless.

Technology changes so quick. What they are talking about doing with the metaverse will replace a lot of what Apple does currently.
Ehh, I don’t see how or where meta replaces Apple. A whole bunch of people are not bout to sucked into playing out make believe lives but they will continue to need and want hardware. Furthermore Meta seems like more of a threat to various parts of the gaming and comms tools ecosystem than hardware products and “regular” entertainment. Meta will provide an outlet for those with social media and escapism addictions and gamers, great sized market but everyone ain’t buying into a virtualized life.

No, it’s about what Wall Street values it to be to make money. Had this been a direct listing, shyt would be half the price or less, easily.

ETA: I work in tech, everyone in tech I’ve talked to or chats I’ve been in think it’s overvalued, so even in tech there are limits to what people generally feel is acceptable. That doesn’t negate a lack of rationality from general retail investors but the tech world isn’t giving this a tech pass

When the tech changes, that's it. We're not talking about 2 years. We're talking about the next decade+. We know tech doesn't stay the same. Future generations will determine what's popular.

Ehh, we’ve seen wearable tech that goes on your face fail again and again - Google glass, 3D tv, facebook’s oculus hasn’t broken out of being a very niche item. Furthermore, the people raising the next generation, millennials, had their formative years shaped by always being online/social media and have begun to push back, I see this with the way my friends raise their kids, I don’t think millennials parents will let their kids get as immersed in the online world since we know the harm, this shyt is peaking with Gen Z IMO.

like I said, there’s always a place for this leve of immersion - second life and other MMORPGs show that, but you’re drinking the juice to think that how the masses want to interact throughout the majority of their day

LAC is trying to get above $35, I like it to $50 with stops along the way. Let's see if it can close above $35 first. I alerted this when it was $4 not so long ago !!!!
SD is a decent risk if it can close above 14.90
CROX is going for that all time high
QQQ is in a consolidation and will need to resolve one way or the other

Friday OPEX so trade carefully.
