if you don't know what the product is and still invested you can't complain
:mjpls:
People do that with the defense industry all of the time.
There are several companies like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon etc.
Who run several programs of which the public has absolutely no clue about but they
confidently invest in them because the profits are looking nice and the balance sheet is relatively good.

I can't help but feel like "the product" when it comes to certain fields isn't necessarily something
the investor can confidently hope to place an educated bet on (which is apt for Palantir
given the type of work they supposedly do...)

hey, i'm not knocking it, feel free to invest in a "good company" you don't understand, but you can't also complain about not knowing what the company does as a knock against it

I agree.
All I'm saying is, people regularly do this with certain companies.
Lockheed Martin is a force to be reckon with and I personally know that many of their
products aren't public facing. They're building, designing, and coming up with new stuff
for their customer (the U.S. Government) and they keep getting phenomenal money
for doing so.
If Palantir is positioning itself as that kind of company, then their products will likely
remain largely unknown to the general public.
