idk for sure but I read an article that said it traces back to when the CEO of chewy bought a shyt ton of stocks and challenged gamestop to be better as a company...read it a few days ago...will see if I can find it

I see that its rhetorical, and I don't know if someone posted this before on one of the pages that I skipped over, but I found this youtube video that did a good job explaining it:


What I'm taking from this is that what kicked this off was GOOD news from GME. New board members + New Consoles + New download deal with MSFT meant that the stock really should have been going up. Not spiking up like crazy, but going up.
But the video explains that this caused the hedge funds to short the stock more in an attempt to drive the price down. THAT was the initial manipulation that kicked the whole thing off. WSB didn't start it, they just retaliated.

I will hold my single share of GME that I bought at 40 until it goes to zero just so these bytches shorting it and trying to get me to dump it so they can buy cheap can't get it. Same with anything else I'm holding that got frozen today.

fukk 'em, I'd rather lose the 2K I put into the market than let them get anything. I just lose 2K, but they go bust. And no taxpayer bailouts if they do, neither.

My problem is I don't wanna leave thousands of dollars sitting in my brokerage account so I can move in and out of these stocks. Not really trying to take a good faith violation over this.

I bought 16 shares of GME today 5 w a CB of 350$ () 10 at $310, and 1 at $230.

Tomorrow is gonna be insane!
