Yea I'm not a fan either but neither was I of Facebook lol. I made a quick lick off TWTR when it went from $38-42. Lost some of my gains though and got out. Was so close to getting in the money though .And I still dont believe in FB long term actually but if the corporations keep paying them for advertising not realizing ppl dont use FB like that then . I was turning my head around until they made that whatsapp acquisition. Paid way too much in my opinion...like 5 times anything reasonable. but we'll see what they do with it.Twitter already up over 20% after bouncing off resistance around $30.50. Looking back on it, that was a no-brainer. Why exactly are bullish long-term, though? Personally, Im not a fan.
Twitter is more of a gamble and play on good ol Wall street manipulation. Basically I'm looking at companies that have dropped too much too quickly and hoping (key word) that they can rebound. I'll probably wait until after this quarter release however cause something tells me itll head into the mid 20s. My guess for the year is they'll have revenues of about $1.4B in revenue and a substantial net profit (at least compared to estimates) due to decerased R&D. It's a guess though . The results may not be seen this quarter but I think their new CFO hired a month ago will bring much needed structure to their frivolous use of $.
Whole Foods is a more educated gamble. Similar situation but based on what I know about the company I feel like Wall Street has battered it way too much. It's growth hasnt slowed down that much to warrant a 50% market value decrease. Add the fact that it's altering its pricing to shake off the luxury reputation it has and compete with some of the smaller organic grocers and I think it has fine potential. It's around $37 right now and 2016 calls for a strike of $40 are no more than $3.50 if I remember correctly. All the food retailers were down in the last two quarters too last year; even stable companies like Costco, Target and Walmart. Up north add Metro and Sobey's (Empire) to that list. I know its a meh excuse but I suppose the winter really did have an affect; after all it was pretty bad. I think it will turn out to be an anomaly and WFM's outlook was too pessimistic.
