can anyone explain this to me....If someone were to use margin on a penny stock and it was to go higher say they invested $2,000 in cash and $2,000 in margin and purchased $4,000 in a stock....If that stock doubles to $8,000 how much would they owe in margin. I'm thinking it would be the full $4,000 right? or is it a percentage of gains?

What's the interest rate?

EDIT: at the end of the day margin is simply a loan, So it will be the principal + interest.
