the EV market needs to grow. not every new company is meant to compete head to head with TSLA, it's not about market share, but about market creation & growing the entire pie right now. auto mftg has become cutthroat - we've seen that with the number of mergers and discontinued lines over the past 20 years. moving forward, it's about tech (batteries and autonomy) & design - a lot of these companies will be bought out by or partner with legacy manufacturers who have the facilities to produce at scale but are behind the r&d curve due to needing to focus on combustion engine cars of today.

Something I wanted to mention the other day. I love Tesla, I'm holding these shares. However, I don't like what's happening out in stock twitter and YouTube and even sometimes what I see here from Tesla bulls where every "competitor" is immediately torn down with a super bear case...

Tesla is not going to own 100% of the EV market. Most of these startups will indeed die off and you'll never hear from them. It's more likely Ford or VW or someone else ends up being the main competitors... I think that much is known.

But let's look at China for example... NIO is a risky play even after they've shown tremendous progress, maybe NIO doesn't last either but what I DO know is that China is not going to allow Tesla to control 100% or anywhere near that amount of control of their market...

That will not happen. It won't happen in most nations but especially China will not allow that to happen. Point is, there is money to be made elsewhere and these immediate tear downs are getting to be too much.

what were the circumstances behind the meeting?

he came up to my job to discuss clean energy, climate, finance, etc...

I'm a finance director in DC

There were about 20 ppl in the mtg

he dropped gems for 2 hours, it was a discussion so we couldn't take notes

but my main takeaway was to invest in innovation

That meeting changed my life

That's exactly why I didn't buy a couple months ago but right now it's hovering around the lowest levels since the March dip.
I def need exposure in this sector but not sure which one has the potential to run between TTCF and BYND in the medium 1-3yr term

Im bearish on the consumer staples sector in general. However, if I get in at the right price point (under $40), I'll go all in

I dunno breh, the BABYF stock seems like a penny spec play. Super small cap OTC stock with no institutional backing based on a quick search. Not sure I'd be comfortable buying a significant amount and building a position over years. :francis:

What company is FE talking about in the 2nd vid? VRYYF? Couldn't find it on quick skim and not trynna watch a 25 video rn
