I’ve been looking at SPACs that merge in Q1 for the same reason. Take those profits to put into more spacs and pour some profits into the “don’t fukkin touch” portfolio. I grabbed some of THBR at the open today.
which spacs are cheap right now with potential? are there like penny spacs?

Naw typically the floor for SPACs is $10 (few exceptions where they can go to the 9’s).

If GHIV stays in the 12’s, that could be one worth taking a stab at for a short term swing. Merger is in two weeks and typically the week or two before the merger is when SPAC run ups occur. Not advice though.

Wouldn’t recommend buying SPACs north of $13. Few exceptions though. I loaded up on LGVW at $15, but it’s backed by ARK and Gates.

Ideally you want to buy SPACs as close to $10 as possible. That way they’re bond like floors, with equity like ceilings. But it’s not for the impatient.

for example, I got into IPOD/IPOE/IPOF at 10.50 and under. None of them have a target yet, so they aren’t going to pop like other spacs have yet. But I’m already up 15-25% on all of them and they’re essentially savings account that could pop once Chamath announces a target sometime this month.

Target is like the date they go public or what?

I see this IPOD one was at 2.38 on November 27 per Google. Black Friday special prolly. Or am I misreading something there.

I'll be anticipating IPOG so I can get in that one when it comes out.

Naw target meaning the company that they are choosing. For example, IPOC’s target is Clover Health.

and you might be looking at IPOD-WT, which are the warrants. That’s different from the shares. Warrants are more volatile and higher risk/reward

once IPOG/H/I are available (assuming Chamath keeps going in abc order) if you can get in close to $10 that’s a good idea breh. I’ll be doing the same.

Chamath must've given investors the :mjpls: when they tried to buy at that price.

I'm conflicted about Tesla because I want my position to be way more now as it's only 5 shares but knowing it's so overvalued gives me pause to buy more. I was thinking about it today and just thought there are other stocks I can build up.
I'm worried about "buying at the top" to speak.
Given it's current evaluation in relation to the rest of the market, I don't want to
get while it's "Way up" and watch it go down, yah know ?

So I feel you on that.
