You can also just trade BTC and ETH in robinhood if you don't wanna pay coinbase fees :manny:
I remember when crypto first became available on RobinHood. A whole bunch of YouTubers said that people shouldn't buy it from there because you don't actually "own" the crypto (as opposed to doing it through CoinBase). I still have the BTC and XRP tickers to get daily updates on my Robin Hood app, but I haven't actually purchased any crypto anywhere yet. I'm thinking I'll probably do it with CoinBase instead of RobinHood when the time comes.

nikkas shouldn't get in thinking it will just keep going up

you’re oversimplifying my comment...I don’t think anyone thinks that...I just don’t think of it as just a “healthy pullback” when a market as relatively small as this literally drops $100 billion overnight (20% of the total market cap)

Dow Jones is at an all time high :mjpls:
A sell off normally happens shortly after

which is a good thing cuz they say bitcoin is at its best when it doesn't mirror the market :lolbron:

and remember this was $4000 in march. so it 4Xed since. i'll take that. just kicking myself that i didn't load the boat then. :wow:

it don't matter cuz it's basically just like gold stocks. you can just sell it and cash it in anytime. and since most of yall thinks it's to volatile, so you can just freely trade in and out. :manny:

i got ETH from robinhood. no complaints from me.

if you’re just trading RH will suffice...but if you’re planning to hold on to this for years then you’re better off buying it on an exchange that will let you transfer it to a wallet

Not too long ago it was 10-11k :yeshrug:

Yall too greedy :scust:

Sell off is expected. I mean it basically got close to all time high

Not sure how I'm greedy from that comment. Just saying I almost bought in around 19k and would've immediately lost value. It's just nice not getting burned.

with crypto I joke and say when everyone’s excited about “bitcoin” and you have some? then sell...buy when they forgot about it again...a lot of ppl got stuck holding the bag when it first hit $20k and public sentiment was high

BTC is at 17k breh. strong resistance at 16k. :yeshrug:

i mean it got close to all time high. sell off was expected. people will start panic sell if it drops below 12k.

for xrp, resistance at .45 was nice. if it can stay at this level that would be nice. if it drops below .30 again then i'm loading the boat. damn i actually want these to crash again. easiest 10x ever if that ever happens.

you keep talking about BTC...my initial comment was about the crypto market and that’s what I’m still talking about...I know ppl can get very personal when they think you’re shytting on their bags...that’s not the case here...the crypto market is mercurial...I don’t see what there is to “argue” here...fwiw BTC is the only thing in crypto I would feel comfortable touching at this point and that would be with the intention of putting it away and forgetting about it

i'm just sayin yall keep chasing and expect a quick profit. to me that's being greedy. buy high, make more money. :russ:

just hold and build a position breh. it's ok to buy at 19k when it will go 100-300k someday. BTC is a limited edition breh. sooner or later rich cacs will buy everything and it will run out of it. i only have $1000 of btc. i went in with ETH, XRP, and LINK. I'm going in on BTC below 15k and will build my position. as soon as ABIO pops i'm buying BTC no matter what. :troll:

unpredictability of the market is what's attractive about the market. and since the rest usually follows the king, you can reasonably expect when to buy or not to buy. i mean buying more XRP was no brainer when BTC started rolling again. so if BTC is Tesla, then rest if bunch of noob EV stocks to me. ETH is prolly NIO. :russ:

and since it goes up and down, it's much easy to make profit off of it too. yes, it takes patience. but i like cryptos so much more than penny stocks.

so you should come back and join the gang. it ain't never too late. shyt will explode this decade. we are just getting started. i'll be terribly disappointed if my crypto portfolio don't 30x in 10 years.

well then maybe I am greedy bcuz 2017 spoiled me to the point where that outlook isn’t as “attractive”...projects were doing 10-100x every other month lol...BTC is the only crypto I sincerely believe in long term...even ETH and LINK I’m not too gung-ho about although they will continue to make folks money in the short run...that being said I’m not here to talk folks out of/into investing in crypto...all I said is the market can be very schizophrenic and I think you took that as me shytting on BTC

i was skeptical in 2017 too. didn't buy the hype. anything parabolic scares me. :manny:

but now it happened again, so i'm now 100% convinced. we are entering the digital currency / digital payment era. i'm a bull and i'm gonna keep on investing in crypto space because i really feel like whales are starting to warm up to the idea of investing in cryptos. because of the pandemic they feel there will be more utility for the digital currency in general. before then it was just a nerdy idea for nerdy cacs in the basement. we are passed that.

and i'm not disagreeing with you. it's schizo for real. it's only for the short term traders and the long term bag investors. we have no idea if it will run up and blow past 20k or come down to earth to 12k. but volatility is nice as long as you buy cheap and build position. that's exactly what i plan to do next 10 years. build position. i got a good position on ETH, and XRP. LINK is building up, but i'll wait for more drop off. BTC, i missed the boat. i want to get in below 12k. hopefully it crashes big tme below 10k again.

Article I think serious posted about small caps beating big caps out of recessions and jeremy’s technical video of big caps being overpriced compared to small and mid caps, is pretty telling.

I’m not selling my Tesla or square but will likely stay away from buying more big caps.

Small caps had a lot of ground to recover. Large caps were mostly growing throughout the pandemic.
