I probably gotta buy AT&T at this price. It's a relatively safe almost 8% dividend.

nikka :mjtf:

All these discounted stocks and you AT&T:what:

:patrice: at some point P/E fundamentals have to come back right? INTC and ATT are below march :wow: lol

I was mr safe during june/July with p/e and dividend... I now have so many jars of jelly for these biscuits :to:

I’m watching Fox Business at work trying to up my understanding of the markets and they just said things like telemedicine, streaming services, and ride sharing are gonna do well if we go back into lockdown.

I don’t have much to contribute to the thread yet, but hopefully someone can use that info.
You would consume fox

I thought dividends were good? I have AT&T for the long haul
T is a good safe long haul stock to have in the portfolio, one of those you just drip money into and reap the rewards 20-30 yrs from now in retirement, but most people here are looking for quick growth over the next 1-5 yrs, so anything that doesn't fit that gets the side eye. i think @winb83 's portfolio is too conservative given his age, but breh has an investment philosophy (dividends) and goal he's sticking to, one that has worked for many others, so :manny:

I’m mad I missed that.

Hope y’all came up
it's cliche but true "time in the market > timing the market". yea, there were some amazing deals, but that dip was still higher than the market was 3 years prior.
Is now a good time to buy into big tech since they are all taking hits today due to the hearings?

Don’t laugh at me if I ask dumb questions y’all..
there's a lot of FOMO with tech that's leading to volatility, soon as tech stocks slide, people are sitting on the sidelines thinking "its' the dip" and they jump in and buy. so you gotta decide (research) when and where you wanna get in

Ima tell you now, this is probably the worst question to ask in regards for investing. It assume to many variables (position size, cost basis, time outlook, level of research, etc.,)

Dude who bought in Telsa during the 19' dip prob has a cost basis of what...50? "yeah sure buy it I already 10x'ed my money":hhh:

Dude who bought in ATH's: NOOOOOO:damn::damn:

Dude who bought in but only down 10%: :ohlawd: These deals.

Like you saying big tech, amazon, apple, google report their quarterly earnings on Thursday....

If it goes up you will have people be like ":myman: You dumb asses didn't buy that dip did you"

Then if it goes down those same people will be like ":rudy: Buy tech before earnings when there is a pandemic going on...dumbass"
