I have some money to invest from a signing bonus for a new job. Would you recommend:
a) researching and picking individual stocks
Or
b) ETFs/index funds
I don’t know much about stocks and I figure learning and researching will take a while (which I don’t mind and I have the time, but seems like the time to buy is right now and I’ll miss opportunities while the market is in the shytter)

it's usually around $30 last 5 years and has hit over $50.. I got in at $5 a share last week. It's going to make money regardless.
I got it at $6.68. 110 shares.
Should have pulled the trigger again when it dipped below $5.

That was a good catch. Looks like it found its bottom around there. If it's less than $10 Friday I may throw a few dollars that way. I hate getting in after the bottom has been established. Takes the fun out for me.
