My portfolio mostly exist for dividends. As long as it's earning dividends and I'm reinvesting those dividends to earn more capital appreciation isn't too important. I do have stocks like Uber and Facebook that don't pay anything but they're only like 11-12 or so percent of all my holdings. In the distant future I want this to be a decent stream of monthly income.

I'm in awe of how the market is falling bit I also love it because I can buy more. Hopefully one day Uber and FB are worth a bunch and I can sell them and move that into dividend stocks too. I never pull any money out of the market. If I ever sell anything it's all reinvested.

CNBC Jim Cramer: Trump Admin Mulling My Coronavirus Ideas

Dude stops in the middle of a segment he had no answers in to take the call, now he has all the answers and they're doing just what he said they would. Total coincidence.

Jim Cramer is running the country :dead:

I'm moving tepidly bevause I literally know NOTHING, but what are good investments to buy into right now? And any advice for a virgin buyer us appreciated, ANY ADVICE. Also is Bitcoin Cash a good buy, since Bitcoin is currently outta my league?

Thats crypto not stock and is a total crapshoot. Ive been there and made some money but im out. Trades 24/7 and these times are way too volatile for me to be checking non stop. Id pocket the quick profit and reinvest in cheap stocks but maybe others here will disagree with me

Thank you fam. What is considered stock and how do I buy? Buying stock better than buying crypto?

I'm viewing my Robinhood, if a young cat is interested in cars and restaurants, how do I go about determining which ones are good buys and which aren't? Like Lincoln, GE, etc., how can I filter it down to know who I should buy into and who I shouldn't? Should I buy more ETH?

There are arguments for both sides but companies (stocks) are actually tangible where as crypto could all be worth 0 at a moments notice if a government decided it (for example). I sold my ETH at like 3 or 400 a few years ago. Its only as valuable as other people make it. Whereas companies with solid fundamentals and goods/services are far far far more accepted and "real" for lack of a better phrase.

Some advocate holding a bunch of both for diversification and safety measures. For instance if the dollar collapses then, theoretically, gold/silver and bitcoin/crypto would all gain in value. But again, idk id bounce out of it

1. apply for fractional purchases of shares on robinhood. theres a large waitlist. But if/when accepted then u can get portions of amazon stock rather than the full 2k price for a share
2. There are bunch of different sources but a lot are bullshyt. Its tough. Gotta just read read read and compile then make a choice
3. One thing u can check is stocktwits

Its basically a site that has a message board for each stock. There are tons of trolls on there saying to buy or sell for nefarious reasons but sometimes u can come across good nuggets of info and get a general sentiment on a stock

@murksiderock

It also depends on what your goal is

Is it for a relatively quick payday or are u in for the long haul?

You can gamble on crypto or penny stocks if u dont have much and want a quick come up...or if u want to be safe and slowly invest then target well known companies that give solid dividends and just chill
