I wouldnt touch the uber ipo especially after how lyft has performed
I lost 10% of my initial investment on Lyft before I bailed on it. That whole thing was such a disaster. It's almost $20 less than when I bought it day 1. They should be embarrassed. I'm most def passing on Uber. They're just Lyft on steroids with the same issues.

Lyft (and uber for that matter) seem to have no plan to reach profitability. It starting to sound very "dot com bubble"-ish.

I was just reading something about quality of IPOs going down in the later stages of bull markets.

If Lyft falls just $3 it will have fallen $30 in like 3 weeks of trading. That's pretty wild

did anyone see how underprepared the house financial service committee looked trying to press the bank CEOs today
embarrassing :hhh:
they have virtually no understanding of how anything works in the finance industry...

Honestly the best thing I learned from cryptos is that IPOs are incredibly overvalued.

Facebook is looking like a buy to me guys.

- 2.8 Billion on Facebook alone. World population is 7.53 billion so the fact that ANY platform can reach the population that much is incredible
- Owns Instagram, aggressively growing too.
- Owns WhatsApp
- Owns Oculus
- Four of the Top 10 apps in the Apple Store are FB related (FB, IG, Messenger, WhatsApp)
- Lots of efforts to increase privacy
- Lots of companies going to social media for advertising.
- Have been crushing earnings the past few months.

If you're going long term on it yeah. It was a better buy back earlier in the year when it was in the $140s. My average cost is $165 but I plan to buy and hold forever essentially so I'll buy at whatever price.

Facebook always trips it self up in the news so I'll be looking to see if it gets closer to my average cost before buying more. I only opened my position 2 months ago and I only have 15 shares so I do want more but I always hate pushing my average cost up.

I only own 5 of them right now but I've traded some of them in the past few months.

Disney could be a nice dividend play:

- Killing it with Marvel.
- Owns LucasFilms which will help push out more CGI based films.
- Owns Fox Entertainment now. More Marvel.
- Directly going in competition with Apple's streaming service and Netflix with Disney+. I think they will take a good chunk of the marketplace not to mention the Disney Channel.
- Well diversified in media entertainment AND their theme parks & resorts.

They are NOT going anywhere any time soon and I doubt there is any negative press on them.

Is it more day traders in here or value investors ?

Curious about this too. Generally my strategy with this and crypto has been getting growth stocks to swing trade but I have also considered doing some value investing.
