Watched BPTH go crazy yesterday and thought it was over. It going crazy again today and I got in and made 7K. I was feeling good, but it kept going up and I left another $20K on the table. DAMN, but at least I still made a positive gain.

Now, since I had a regular account, I had reached my limit of the amount of day trades I could do. So, I had to call up and brokerage and they made the trade go thru for me. Dude I was on the phone w/ told me I needed to switch to a margin account if I planned on doing more day trading plus. Now, I can do all the day trading I want, plus trade on margin.

Good shyt, might use it to get more shares of AMRN.

I have my savings with Ally as well. They always tack on an extra fee for stocks under $2.00. I opened up a Charles Schwab since they have more features and no extra fees.

Banking with Ally is great! I just wish they would upgrade their brokerage. I have to transfer money to Schwab for some trades that Ally charges more for.

Yeah, I didn't end up with it by choice. Had some budget broker years ago that started with a z I think, can't even remember. They got bought by tradeking, who then got bought by Ally, so here I am

Need to start looking around again since everyone has dropped their fees down

i probably know less about stocks than anyone in here, but why the fukk would you want lyft like that when its a company that hemorrhages money? isnt that expense just gonna be picked up by stockholders?

Stocks are forward looking. The stock price should reflect all future cash flows. So in lyft's case you're betting that they will make a bunch of money in the future.

The majority of companies going public nowadays have negative earnings, ESPECIALLY if they're some silicon valley company, you can almost guarantee they're losing money. Look at amazon they were losing money for years.

I found out that FXAIX distributes capital gains to share holders. I don't really wanna be hit with capital gains taxes on income I haven't actually realized because it was redistributed to me as shares of FXAIX. ETFs apparently don't have those issues nor do Vanguard Index Funds.

On Fidelity IVV might be a better buy than FXAIX. FXAIX should be used in a tax deferred account like a Roth or other IRA.

Been testing ally for stocks, you should be using IB unless you need analytical tools scwab offers or you're getting free trades
