While his booking has been inconsistent I figured Lashley would get the belt eventually. Somewhere along the way Vince realized a well booked Lashley winning the title in a dominant fashion would be a middle finger to the naysayers that poo-pooed Lashley's original mid 2000s push. This likely Vince's dream deferred but I'll take it as he deserves it as well as MVP taking this guy off the scrap heap and shining him up to the point where they had no choice but to take notice and remember.

tho'...Much-deserved! WWE FINALLY got Lashley in a great pocket with MVP, especially these last couple months I noticed his intensity went way up in-ring and even on the mic. Even if this run only lasts to Mania, it shouldn't be his last. He should definitely have many more main events and top-level matches in the future.
