Does anyone know what happens if you donate and they don't reach their goal? Do you get your money back? Forgive me, but I've never used or donated before.

Short answer: Yes... Kickstarter only takes pledges to donate, so the money won't be taken out of your account until we meet our goal and the project it complete. If we don't hit out goal, then no money will be taken from your account.
