If it's debatable then they probably ain't blue bloods.

NBA - Lakers, Celtics. Knicks, Bulls.

MLB - Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, Giants, Cardinals.

NHL - Original Six + Penguins and Flyers

NFL - Too many to name. These are all multi billion dollar franchises.

From my limited knowledge

NBA: Celtics, Laker, Bulls (really just cause of MJ)
NFL: Packers, Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers, Patriots
MLB: Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs (more so out of history)
NHL: Your guess is as good as mine

I don't think some of the people reading this nor posting understand what the term 'Sports Bluebloods' mean. Let me explain, in non sports term it refers to those who come from privilege...nobles, aristocrats. In sports that would equate to not only those teams whose been there from the beginning ,but those who organisations are known for winning, being well managed and the personification of their league. Teams are weighted on history while recent championships shouldn't be so highly regarded. I honestly believe there are 2 tiers of this. I'll break it down.

MLB

Tier 1
N.Y. Yankees
Boston Red Sox
N.Y./ L.A. Dodgers

Tier 2
Chicago Cubs
N.Y. /S.F. Giants

St. Louis Cardinals

NFL

Tier 1
Chicago Bears
Dallas Cowboys
Pittsburgh Steelers
Green Bay Packers

Tier 2
S.F. 49ers
Cleveland Browns/ Baltimore Ravens
^(would be tier 1 if they stayed)^
New England Patriots

I wanna put more weight on the ore super bowl era and add the Giants...but can't.

The MLB I did off the top of my head due to it being the easiest. While I know more football, the # of factors in this and how to prioritize things is numbing. Tier 1 is easy, its tier 2

Im not knowledgeable enough on the NBA to do that and I only follow the NHL loosely so I'll leave it at the MLB and NFL. Someone should do a NCAAF and Ncaa basketball thread
