In what scenario do you see Demar coming back? Just curious.

End of his career while team goes through a rebuild

Kevin Love is only making $3m more than Ibaka each year until both their contracts expire after two seasons. With the Cavs rebuilding, would trading Ibaka, Norman Powell (and maybe CJ Miles) for him be worth it or not?

Ibaka is the weakest point of our team right now. Even if we go into a rebuild if Kawhi leaves, we'll still have Ibaka and his contract expires at the same time as Kevin Love anyways. If we get K Love our team could be:

PG - Lowry, FVV
SG - Green, Delon
SF - Kawhi, OG
PF - Love, Siakam/OG
C - JV, Love/Siakam

For depth we have the Malcolm Millers, Lorenzo Browns and the undrafted Rookie Rawle Alkins.

Thoughts?

I was never a fan of Kevin Love. Him and JV would be awful on defense

Today I actually felt really bad for DeMar. What's done is done but I would hope they didn't actually lie to him like that.

I know we got him the bag and shyt, but he really was the only (good) player who genuinely wanted to stay/see this franchise succeed.

Still wanted him gone but maybe something with less drama/uncertainty than this Kawhi swap

At the end of the day I wouldn't be shocked in kawhi resigns but what needs to happen is

he loves the coaching staff
he loves his teammates
raps win like 55 and above games
raps make a deep run in the playoffs or finals

his girl loves toronto (shouldn't be to hard)

we can offer the most money

I do feel for demar because think of all the guys that played here that left in teh heat of the night, stoudamire, hd to give antonio davis thot wife kendra a tv studio gig to make him happy, carter left, mcgrady left, bosh left

I think the raptors could have done it better, masai should have flown to wherever derozan was and broke the news to him he at least deserved that

I wish nothing but the best for derozan and hope he averags like 27-28 next year

Kyle is probably my favourite raptor ever to keep it real with y’all

I’ve watched so many seemingly lost games where this fat midget just somehow decided we weren’t going out like that. The man is the king of going all out in a blaze of glory. When the Raptors are down 6-7 in a close game you know this guy is gonna come up with a steal or a three or a charge or something, anything.

The last few years with this guy during the regular season just being an overall beast and making this team relevant makes him my favourite ever.






All that considered I think Masai should dump him because I don’t think he’s going to get over us trading Demar. He’s too emotionally attached to dude. He and JV need to be removed from the team. We need to get rid of the Casey Demar era for good if we wanna keep Kawhi, develop our young guns, and attract new FAs
