Sold my house last October. Made some good money. Currently renting for a year while trying to figure out where we wanted to live and wait for the right house. My wife is anxious to buy a new house, but with all the doom and gloom right now I'm think it's best to have the money just sitting in the bank. Away from the markets and not back into a home that will most likely drop in value soon.

You didn’t invest none of that?

You’re leaving returns on the table.

I don’t know mortgage rates are going for 7% right now.

As in you would hold out and wait for them to drop? Been thinking that it is best to wait for house market to crash, but also wait for mortgage rates to drop.
I would wait for housing prices to drop as people get foreclosed on in the coming recession.

What I'm thinking too. Sad as it is. I might actually be able to come up in the world with this future recession.
Don’t feel bad if it’s bad enough the banks will be bailed out and they’ll make loans to the people who were forclosed on. It happened in ’08 and it will happen again.

Just don’t let it happen to you.

“Invest it!!” is one of those terms people throw around and don’t even know what they mean by it

I have a TSP I max out on and will wait for real estate opportunities to show themselves over the next 10 years

A safe 4-5% interest is better than getting his account chopped to death by this clown of an administration
I get it. However I don’t buy individual stocks bonds or anything I buy ETF’s and buy a hold dollar cost averaging the whole way.
