I've mentioned it before but a friend of mine, who is trans, tried to volunteer at the Houston BLM chapter a few years ago. She said they had no real organization or structure...and all they were doing was sending money to black trans people in Houston for housing. Paying people's rent, paying for people to stay in hotels, etc. Just doling out the money to them...
