You can't start an organization based off of Black men being murdered and siphon it off towards groups that benefit LGBTs without expecting backlash

B-b-but why aren't YOU protesting/organizing/etc?

Like most men I got a full time job and I'm going back to school, all these protests around the world and they did what? Nothing but trauma porn and lip service

I thought the fact this group wasnt funded by black people was clear? I remember thecoli saying it was George soros funded and couldnt be trusted.

So knowing that, did we believe BLM worked for us exclusively? They work for whoever is funding them the most. Which based on their legwork is probably democrats and lgbt. But overall it looks like they still try to bring awareness to black death by officers. But problem is black people decided to go back to work and forgot about the movement:francis:

So the same people who was taking off work to protest. Willing to riot and risk jail,no longer have emotion to fuel them.

Yall decided to go back to work, they decided to get a mansion and start a record label:mjlol:

BLM has no power without people being emotional over police shootings. People got desensetized and moved on. They had to make a transition to cover up the fact their power was people based and they never needed 90 million dollars in the first place.

But if we'd rather go to work and be cogs in white supremacy. We cant get upset at others for creating a movement on the heels of what was going on.

Black men have enough wealth in this country to create whatever we want. But priorities, constant debate, and too many chiefs:francis:

Then donate your next paycheck to him and let me know what he does with the money.

You cant tell me that someone probably misplaces money for their personal benefit but they aren't a grifter.
Oh no, I would recommend not donating to him as I always have. He just doesn't strike me as a grifter. But you will have to define grifter before we can continue with this assessment.

I define grifter as someone that takes on causes with the sole intention of profiting off of it, that person would have little to no interest in seeing results from the causes, just the profit that can be made off of it. I should note though, in everyday conversation I can act as a compatibilist for argument's sake but at heart, I am a hard determinist. With that in mind, the bar I have for grifting is so high that I can hardly think of anyone that meets the metric. For example, someone like Candice Owens wouldn't meet my bar for grifting because before she went on her MAGA route, she was one of those "crazed liberals" looking to start a database that would provide tracking for people with her current mindset. Simply put, she has no basis of foundation to work from, so it's no surprise someone like her can become a MAGA after one bad incident with liberals. Most people act on what I would consider colloquially as "moral luck", so it's hard to find people with enough agency to truly understand when they have made the move to grifting. I don't hold myself so highly because of my priors but I could start grifting MAGA right now, knowing exactly what I'm doing, knowing that I am lying about topics, and knowing the effects of my lies as they are spread to masses through social media. I could make the MAGA arguments better than most MAGA heads, and with that I would know I was grifting for profit, so I would need to be aware that the said "gifter" is of a similar mindframe as they go into grifting. I would need evidence that Umar Johnson knows everything he is doing is futile or a lie and is simply doing what he is currently doing for cash.

(Important) But as I said, we might have completely different definitions for "grifter" if yours is far more lax than mines, I could find agreement where people like Umar Johnson could fit the bill.

In my opinion, the reason why people are so successful at grifting is because of people like yourself who believe in the possibility of them having good intentions. You're someone who would never donate to them, and you can't even admit that they are grifting because you want to believe that they are somehow doing what they're doing because of true belief in their various causes. Now if you can't admit that they are grifting, then imagine their actual supporters.

Grifting is taking money from any cause to enrich oneself. I don't care if you didn't intend to do it. If you tell me that you're collecting money for a school and ten years later there's no school, then you grifted. If you tell me you're taking money for a museum, show me the property that you're going to buy to form the museum, and then do something different with the money, you grifted.

Yeah... local chapters, more of the deceased parents are gonna distance themselves from them going forward.

Folks who are part of the movement already distanced themselves from the organization after Tamir Rice's mom first said something

I don't believe they have good intentions though, the average person ( actually 99%) is incapable of having good intentions without an established basis to work from, a majority people are simply engaging in "moral luck" as a result.

If that is your definition of grifting then Umar Johnson obviously fits the bill.

edit: But understand, I am a hard determinist, do you know what that means?
