When I said this a while back you tried to shyt on the idea.
No jobs in the south. People aren't going to leave jobs in the north or west that are paying good to struggle in the south. Until they can attract major corporations to relocate headquarters down there it's going to be a tough sell to majority of people. Nobody's willing to struggle for the later generations to win. :yeshrug:

What jobs are in some of these African countries?

I don't think any Black person doubts that racism and classism doesn't exist in parts of Africa but the feeling of living in a population dominated by people who share resemblance to you can be better for your mental health.

You could breathe easily and be a little more at ease mentally. You don't have to worry as much about people treating you like you don't belong, acting like you're a criminal, or a dangerous being for simply minding your business walking down the street, or doing things most people do regularly.

A lot of Black people have and are currently mentally suffering living in America. I'm sure many Black men and women throughout the country can relate to the feeling of being racially stereotyped and profiled from all angles (white people, police, etc) by doing something everybody does daily...such as simply walking down a street in America.

So I could understand why a Black person would take a chance and adjust to a whole new in Africa, sure it'll be a big cultural and lifestyle adjustment but sometimes it could be worth it in the long run.

Rashad McCrorey, 44, acknowledged that he left his humble beginnings in the Polo Grounds Towers, a New York City public housing complex, far behind when he moved from Harlem to Ghana in 2020.

“I’d rather have the moral dilemma of being in a higher class in the system of classism, rather than being marginalized in the system of oppression and racism,” he said.

This is a fukked up motivation to have with respect to reclaiming space in Africa. The motivation shouldn't be to reorient one's place in systems of oppression. It should be working to dismantle system of oppression.

And with all due respect, the brother is a bit too loud.

He's certainly comfortable in his place of privilege. :francis:

He said he tries to give back: He started a scholarship fund and built a soccer field for neighborhood children.

He started a scholarship and built a soccer field and that augments referencing himself as king among these people?

Black Americans stay not knowing how to move.

Where have you been in Africa?

In certain countries in Africa, for example, you will be criminally profiled for having dreadlocks. For whatever reason, rastas have bad reps in a lot of areas.

In other countries, they will profile you if they think you are of Nigerian descent or any other group/tribe they don't rock with.

In certain countries, you will get weird stares for going to nice establishments because the staff has the belief only White people have money. This might even impact the customer service you receive.

Hell, they will profile you if they think you have any kind of money. Unlike the West, corruption and bribing is rampant.

I like a lot about my travels in Africa but folks dont keep it 100. You might not get treated like you don't belong because of your skin color but there are plenty of other reasons you might.

I've never been to Africa but I can imagine why a lot of Black people would feel more at ease living in Africa.

It goes back to what I said how living and being surrounded by people who like you and make up the majority of the population can make you feel more at ease. So the issues you speak of would feel minimal and low in comparison to what is felt and seen in America, that's not saying it's not as much as a problem as it would be in the US but, It makes a difference from a mental perspective.

Of course Africa isn't a utopia and there are issues with racism and class in certain parts but that difference in the population can bring peace to a person's mental health.
