How long were you there?
Do police carry rifles/submachine guns?
Do you see army presence?
Is the city dirty? Rats, trash on the street?
Did you see a lot of homeless/beggars?
Traffic? Is it easy to get around? Are the people friendly? do they talk to you or just try to sell you shyt?
Did you see any vice? Red light district? Did anyone try to sell you party accessories? :lupe:

-I was there for four days four nights.

-The police in all of the Mexican cities I've been to carry long arms. It's usually the federal police that are strapped like that, though. Some .50 caps mounted on the back of pickups trucks too.

-Didn't see any military. I see them in the border towns right when you cross.

-It's dirty in some parts. Smells like piss and shyt some places. The nicer parts (Polanco and Roma) are less dirty. No graffiti in those areas neither.

-Really easy to get around with Uber and the Metro is easy after you get used to it.

-Most people are too busy or on the move to smile and nod. You won't see that. Black people didn't even speak to me when I walked past them. When you do converse with people (locals/Chilangos), they are usually friendly and cordial. Some people might approach you and ask you where you're from because they're curious. They did to me several times.

-People try to see you shyt all day at the tourist spots (Pyramids, Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Park)

-Saw a lot of homeless and drug addicts in certain areas. Not in the ritzy spots, though. The police don't play that.

-I didn't even want to go to the really bad boroughs (there are 16) and areas. Didn't even want to risk it.

My family stays out in Puebla, so I've only been to the DF when I'm at the airport. How is it out there though? What did you get into it there? I feel like turning up out there might be cool.
Left Mexico City and went through puebla. The people blocked the road for 3 hours because they didn't have running water, or so I was told. This was years back.

-I barely noticed the altitude, but it is the highest capital city in the world. It was a little chilly at night, though.

-Food was great. So many variations and types of Mexican. Street food to fancy places (Pujol). I didn't get to go to Pujol, though. Gotta have a reservation.

-We rode past some mountains where there were literally thousands of these cardboard looking houses. I forgot the bourough (it's a northeast suburb, I think). I asked the Uber driver if it was sketchy over that way and he was like

In the Silver Lining
OP could you see Mexico City with an NFL or NBA Team. From your limited time there, what you think.

They've discussed the idea for over a decade and they do exhibition and pre-season games diwn there.

It was actually cooler, breh. Like 73 high and 55 low. It's not expensive. We flew from Ciudad Juarez which is right across from El Paso, TX. It was way cheaper than flying from the US. You spend what you want while you're there. If you want to spend more, then you will. That goes for hotel, food, shopping, etc. The food was great. Good street food and restaurants. Food from all over the world, too. They got McDonalds and shyt too, though.

:merchant: :whoa:

Isn't that one of the most dangerous cities in the world :damn:

Yeah. They definitely have the population and the arenas for it. They have the money, too. Only thing is it being a foreign city and the distance from the US. I know that they’ve had a few NFL games down there recently.

I told some brehs that I would let them know how the experience was. Arrived the day after the big earthquake in Oaxaca (600 miles south). One of the biggest cities in the world. Think of it as the "New York of Latin America". I would post pictures, but idk how from my phone. Ask me anything....

Update:
Posted pics to first post. I'll add a few more pics later and respond to all questions. Just give me some time, brehs.
