Child support some brutal shyt
After-tax money...can't even deduct it
We gotta move to the system Denmark has ASAP...child support is no longer a come-up out there.
Instead, there's a base amount the government determines that it costs to support 1 child for 1 month.
That base amount amount is then used along with a simple table of 3 income categories to calculate the final support amount per child. Depending on your gross income, you'll either pay an additional 100% of the base amount, 200% of the base amount, or 300% of the base amount per child. That's it.
Child support payments are also tax-deductible - and child support received is considered taxable income.
Child support - Statsforvaltning
Using Blake's case as an example -
in Denmark, if you make ~$230K USD or more and have 2 children you're paying child support on, the maximum amount of child support you have to pay is ~$1550 / month.
They clearly saw how fukked up shyt was over here and cleaned their system up with the quickness.
to whoever put that system together over there.
