marvel owns blade but Disney doesn't want a rated r movie like Blade needs. Its makes sense for them to trade him to sony. but having him as a side kick to morbious is disappointing.
wonder what spiderman character they got in return

Marvel just got the Blade live-action rights back from New Line/WB a few years ago. I don't think they will do it because Marvel doesn't make much money when Sony makes these movies. Basically, they only get a license fee from Sony. I think if Marvel does something new with Blade they will want 100% control and profits for it.
