I've noticed what you are talking about for years, but, after reading this, I realize was somewhat naive about it. I simply thought the reason why they always seemed to cast the black woman as the dyke was just a way of filling 2 quotas at the cost of 1 role. You see it all the time in all shows from basic sitcoms to critically acclaimed shows like Handmaids or the Orange is the new Black.

But the way you broke it down never occurred to me. This goes far beyond filling quotas, this is more sinister.
You're absolutely right in categorizing this as an extension of the same assault on black femininity that predates this entire nation.

- I saw it in the modeling story about the transperson winning a modeling contest. You could see some of the female models were a little upset with it
