It's foolish, there are a lot of weirdos among our people and I am not talking about the coli.
At this point in my life, I wouldn't even allow a white person to try to "prove". Like I wouldn't think it was genuine.She did make some points I just don't like her way about it. Made it hard to listen to and a lot of people will just dismiss her as a racist and not try to work around that part. I don't have any white friends but I wouldn't dismiss someone who proved to be a friend just because they are white. Opportunity hasn't presented itself though.
Sounds a little bit like my mom though.
This one job I had I became close with this white girl in management. It was a small company and she was like the 3rd employee of the company so she and the owner were tight. It was a QA job and I did good work but with her bigging me up to management, I was winning awards and being pulled for better assignments and shyt like that.
Her and I had a falling out one day (outside of work) and the next week I was fired because I was insubordinate and I didn't perform as expected. They tried to deny my unemployment and everything. Luckily, I still had access to my records after I was canned and I had to pull a bunch of test records that I completed and the emails I had gotten for doing good work and plans on promoting me and all that shyt. I faxed all the stuff to the unemployment office and the mediator was like "how in one week did go from nearly being promoted to not performing as expected". Same thing I wanted to know.
Not saying that same situation couldn't have happened if she had been black, but as I educated myself more on the history of the black/white relationship in America along with my own negative experience just caused me not to be able to trust them at all.
Don't depend on white to feed you and pull you up - you have to do that shyt on your own. You can cool and cordial with them - but never under estimate their ability to knife you in the back.
But this can go for all races though not just whites. We even pull each other down from time to time, like crabs in a barrel.

When I say prove I mean in general terms not just for a white person. Any person for me consider them my friend we have to have had experiences that have come up for me to say this person is my friend. At my age, no matter what race they are it's very rare to have new friends. Even people I have known for like 3 years. Most people are associates period. I am not trying to run out and go get some white friends just to show how open minded I am, but I don't automatically discount anyone based on race. Everybody gets the side eye from me based on my experience with "friends" at work especially in an office.

I'm just speaking about my situation. You shouldn't generalize every single thing in life. My friendships are not disingenuous.
As for the video...I can't really say anything about it since I haven't had the chance to watch it.
You needa chill with your sense of self entitlement.
I wouldn't dismiss someone solely based on race just like I won't dismiss men solely based on bad experiences and hearing negative things about them. I have experienced racism first hand. It is alive and well, fully aware of it. I know all forms of it, blatant, passive, oblivious. Still not going to automatically assume something about someone based on their race, if I did I would be just as bad as the racist who wronged me. Be careful who you call friend period.

My daughter's father was working for Fed Ex when he was younger and decided to get into a little scheme with these two white boys. Not sure of the details but basically they were giving him merchandise to sell and they split the proceeds. shyt hit the fan and and the company ended up filing charges for theft. The two whites say it was my daughter's father who was the mastermind and get off. He gets hit with felony because the thefts were more than $500 dollars and they were the ones that came to him. fukked him up for a minute.
Not excusing any criminal behavior but it would have been better if all three went down but just because it was two white boys, he took the hit. Even if two black dudes were snitching on one black dude, all three of them are getting punished one way or the other.

No, self entitlement in using your black friend (that you think you treat good) as one of the excuse's not to listen to another black womens feelings and views, and then wanting and asking someone to explain it for you.
