Support an Indian woman cosplaying as black but disrespect an actual black man brehettes
Never even peeped it from that angle.A lot of black people have been quick to eliminate mixed/biracial people from being classified as Black over the last 10-15 yrs.Technically, there may be some merit to it, but I don't remember Black people being on that kind of time back in the 90's/early 2000's.
Folks started getting ultra technical about it somewhere around 2010.It started with Black women growing tired of light skinned/mixed race looking women being highlighted(By the mainstream media)as the standard of beauty within the Black community. This was around the time you started hearing terms like "exoticals".A lot of the more melanated sistas wanted to establish their own standard.Felt as if they lacked proper representation. The great divide started growing from there.
The way I see it, you're only biracial if your actually raised bilocated, with influences from your black side/other side. What i'm about to say next will sound pretty fukked up, but I have an aunt that was lost in the world.Got addicted to drugs & started prostituting herself.Ended up having a baby with one of her white tricks.By the time she gave birth to my cousin, the trick was nowhere to be found. My grandmother stepped in and raised my cousin from birth. He was never around white people. My grandmother was also an MGT Captain in the Nation Of Islam at that time, so he grew up going to the mosque 2-3 times a week.Although he's a Don Lemon looking muthafkka, he eventually became FOI.He's the most pro black, "Malcolm X" kind of cat you'd ever meet.He only identifies with Black.
He probably fits more in the exception category.I just don't know how the world would go about classifying a guy like my cousin? Even I get
about it at times.
