There is a big difference between light skinned black women and Afro-Latinas. Most Afro Latina women have been identifying their entire life as not being black mostly just as Latina. No comparison. Don't drag light skin black women into this mess. Thanks.

And? Race ain't about self-identification. Its about how others see you. I can try to self-identify as white all I want, but that ain't gonna stop cops from stopping me for driving a nice car simply cause I'm black.

Typically the latinas that are on that I'm ain't black tip are typically the darkest ones with the most African features. Which means regardless of how hard they don't wanna be viewed as black, they still get treated black.

I view Cyn Santana as black cause that's what she looks like to me. She looks like a light skin black woman. What she views herself as is irrelevant.

I dont kno where the black woman got attitudes started. “

Some background...
In the 1600’s the West Indian Intrest groups (West India Lobby)
Were formulating narratives to justify the enslavement of Black skinned people, from these private conversations arose many rumours that we were savage and beastly heathens aka villains by nature. This was because the Law (structured via the Church of England) stated any man baptised was deemed free, and could not be enslaved, so slave owners debated if this applied to their stock (slaves) (as you know from the “Doctrine of Discovery” all heathens could be enslaved)

The topic grew especially on the plantations and the general consensus amongst plantationers was that baptising a Black was as useful as baptising a “horse or a puppy”
This sentiment spread rapidly in order to discourage baptism amongst slaves. In Barbados a plantation owners wife was stated to have remarked “it would be as useful as baptising my BLACK bytch” (referring to her female dog)
And thus the comparisons started with likening black female slaves to Black bytches (unruly and temperamental)
And black male slaves to horses (hung like a horse, lustful, animal strength, etc)

So watch your syntax because the English language is tricky

:ohhh:

Cyn Santana is black dummy.

You do know there are black hispanics?

Tell that to cyn then, because she’s the one that made the comment to differentiate herself from bw as if she does not see herself as a Bw. So arguing on her behalf to make a case for why she is black is silly since she does not consider herself black at all.

She differentiated herself from us in the same way I hear from African all the time. How many times have we heard Africans talk about black Americans being different. I took her comments as more about pointing out ethnic difference rather than flat out saying she's some other race. Plus even if that's how she meant it, it does not matter cause race ain't something we can choose. Race is determined by how other people perceive you.

If I didn't know her name and saw her walking around in the south, I would think she's just a thick light skin black woman. Especially if she isn't perming her hair. When she goes natural you can see she has a kink in her hair like many mixed black women. So regardless of what anyone says, you are whatever people perceive you to be. And I perceive her to be a black woman.

She doesnt look like a lightskin chick.

And if she dont embrace blackness im not trying to hear her or fukk with her.

Im not desperate for her acceptance or any ethinic race

If this ain't a black woman, then a lot of light skin black women in America are about to become non-black.

LMAO @ "Spanish" women not having any attitudes. Yeah aight, Go to the BX or Heights.

Second, Latino isnt a race. Chick sounds hella confused:mjlol:. I'm cool with Afro Latinas though:takedat:.
Man tell these guys, I don't know why people think Hispanic/Latino is a race and neither are they Spanish, the only Spanish people that I know of are from Spain.

I don't care if the whole world thinks she's a black woman. I've seen Indians and Asians that look black even very dark skinned ones but that don't stop them from being racist to black people. You can't compare them to light skinned black people that are standing up for black issues. It's more than how you look. The comments she made reflected a racist attitude. She should not be grouped in with light skinned black women because they aren't running around insulting black women the way some of these ''Latinas'' that are put on a pedestal by some self hating men are. Light skin black women from black families with black mothers should not be compared to multiracial Hispanic women that are constantly throwing shade at black women. It's really disgusting to be honest to see these Asian, white and Hispanic women trying to insult black women whenever they get with a black man.

Thing is, you can find bw who are "submissive", just like you can find women of Latin American descent that aren't.

the second the fool said "females" i knew he was "one of those guys" that can't go a day without referring to grown women as females. those usually the ones that say stupid shyt like that. like you said there are plenty of submissive black women but those guys always ignore the quiet square chick, they are all over. i would even say there are more black women like that than with their precious latinas.

:ohhh: :snoop: :mjlol: Not only are these comments from 3 years ago, she didn't actually say anything about BW in the original interview. TheGrio.com threw that in for clickbait purposes & that's how this blew up into a controversy.

Do you consider Beyonce black? If so how is she any different than Cyn? Both got the same skin tone.
Yes. Beyonce is Black.
They are not the same skin tone but blackness is more than skin tone it's also phenotype. Cyn looks mexican to me b. she's not afro latina like most dominicans are.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
I'm not taking anything this bird brain says seriously, she's not a voice of authority- she's up there giving major attitude to Joe because he's working 25/8, paying for the house they live in, nannies, providing for her and the baby, holding it down financially and she's whining all up in the video bc he's "not there" and she's bored/depressed; Bih puhhleasse. Get out ya feels, get out there and grind with him, where's ur own income? he already has the platform. Everytime I hear her talk she's complaining - that's why he's tired of her bubble head azz. She's so dumb.

Idk why keep giving these insta-models and twitter-ists a lane. idc- if that's how she feels, so be it. Just don't be about the same character that you complain about.

That’s what happens when a lame like Joe dated a Insta thot. They really think their looks and ass qualify for them to deserve to stay at home all day.
