Cite some examples. I've honestly never seen this before.Thats fine but I have a question for you tho: At what point does one become "American"? Is it when you declare yourself as such or when other americans recognize you as such?
The reason i say this is because many times, a child from foreign black parents, black americans tend to claim you quick when you do something good but when it's something bad they distance themselves from you and you're back to being referred to as some "fukkin' [parents_nationality]" n!gga
I know I'm saying this in general but still
It's worse for them.
At least we have a good bit of people against colorism. Most of them don't even acknowledge that it exists
you both make very good points there but @7Revo You can't deny AA men's obsession with mixed black chicks tho.Knowing all of this AA still place latinas over their own so whos really the c00n?
i could bet the average AfroLatino male would date an Afro Latina before he'd date an AA woman can you really say the same about AA men?
Not saying this to shyt on my own but yall kill me trying to pretend yall are any better that the rest of the African Diaspora when it comes to colorism. Hell point me to the Latino equivalent to lilwayne or any of those AA women bashing twitter/coli dudes....I'll wait.
You know they were.I just hope that the women who cosign this thread wasnt the ones complaining about the black Brazilian thread.
To make it short here are a few examples.Cite some examples. I've honestly never seen this before.
To make it short here are a few examples.
- Joey Altidore - Star forward on the U.S. football team born in the U.S. to Haitian parents. When I hear him being talked about black people here always be say "that young brother..." or "the black player..." which is fine
- Victor Agbafe - Student born in the U.S. to Ghanaian parents got accepted into all 8 Ivy league schools. All the talk was about "young black man accepted into all 8 Ivy league schools..." and "the young brother black black blah..." we were all celebrating it
- Few years ago a DJ/Promoter who was U.S. born to Haitian parents knowingly infected women with H.I.V. This was the SOHH years but last i recall all the threads on SOHH and the comments in the yahoo article were all talking about "this fukkin Haitian blah blah blah"
And this isn't just about black people in America. it happens among whites too. Represent America in the Olympics and you're a great American. But when you do some fukk sh!t you're back to being mentioned as a "jew" or "kike" or mexican or italian basically whatever your specific ethnicity is.
Again, I'm just saying when does one become American? Is it when you claim it or when Americans claim you.
I went to high school with an afro panamaian girl. She had nappy hair and all. One day we in class and she starts talking about how BET is racist and I'm likeThis would work but you'll get a bunch of me no black papi. Y'all gonna learn that black Latinos don't think their black sooner or later.
I mean you can be an American, but you are not an African American as far as ethnicity goes, not ever. We can't change history, we can't change where our ancestors were enslaved, nor can we change the culture in which our ancestors have practiced for hundreds of yearsWith me it's the opposite.
Im the only one in my family who consistently dates outside of my nationality/ethnicity. I love haitian women but for the most part i dont date U.S. raised haitian chicks. But on the other hand most chicks i fukk with are black American. A few trinis and jamaicans here and there. Lost of Guyanese chicks. But Haitian? Every now and then but not often.
Thats fine but I have a question for you tho: At what point does one become "American"? Is it when you declare yourself as such or when other americans recognize you as such?

Miss in their community white Latinos are better than black women.
In fact to them light skin is better than dark.
So have fun
bytch, im sure they got plenty of slurs for your black ass, you just ain't never heard them because none of them nikkas is checkin for yallSo their community is like ours? Ok. How do you say dark butt and nappy headed ho in Spanish?
By saying:So their community is like ours? Ok. How do you say dark butt and nappy headed ho in Spanish?
Also we have people against kissing white ass. They have way less than us on that too. It's worse for them.
At least we have a good bit of people against colorism. Most of them don't even acknowledge that it exists
I'm not denying our issues with colorism but theirs is much worse lol.you both make very good points there but @7Revo You can't deny AA men's obsession with mixed black chicks tho.
I remember an interview with Method Man where he goes on and on about different "mixes" of girls and how much he loved them. This is not me taking one example and running with it to paint the whole group. Speaking to the AA men I know and random ones they always seem obsessed with chicks they suspect are mixed as if a non-mixed chick is just meh to them.
Sure Africans like white girls. So do AAs . We all got some c00nage in our ranks. Deal with it
