i read that and then when i saw "hooks" name in that shyt. i was confused like "is she talking about an author"? i understand if she did it once BUT she did it throughout the whole thing. not to take away from her point but this is who huffington post is allowing to write editorials on their website? 
geez, i understand if you were writing on a blog BUT the fact that she remembered to capitalize the start of the sentence, African American and not even remember to capitalize the author says more than enough.
