Anyways, if you''re not from LA, you wont understand it. I grew up in a mexican and black hood, the black gang was weak as hell and 18 is self explanatory, even I got recruited by 18 since my best friend at the time whole family was from there. During the 80s and early 90s gangs were mixed. You have mexicans in blood and crip hoods, talk ghetto, wearing braids and all that shyt. No one bats an eyelid. Soon as its reversed its
Varrio Grape St was half mexican and half black, then after the mexican mafia put them under the sur, they split but are still very close allies.....however....old school black dudes still have varrio grape tatt'd on them.
Its all up to your environment, if you grew up in something like East LA, the Valley or some shyt, it's what I would expect because they have NO black gangs over there, so if you're going to gang bang......
I know a handful of black cholos, hell there's even a rapper buckweed from 18. He get along with nothing but crips, hates on all bloods and bangs the E heavy.
It's less likely these days, we have the internet now and most people can see beyond their hood, but back in the days, the days before pagers even, your vision was no more than a 5 block radius. and to get any kind of outside information you'd have to go to the library
