Great ep though, looks like this year's TV is going to be amazing.

Only my Mom and maybe some childhood friends, would know how much I obsessed over pirates from an early age, movies, books, all sorts of shyt, but this isn't a very good show. Michael Bay has left his influences all over this, from the set design and cinematography, the direction, the dialogue…. to a very disappointing, but not surprising result. A bunch of violence and authentic setting doesn't make a 'realistic' or compelling show, just a R rated 'Pirates Of The Caribbean'. If it was to work at all, the whole format should have been dark, and stripped down, grim and violent, not this 'Game Of Thrones' knock off.

I wasn't too impressed with the first episode, either, but I'm willing/interested in seeing where it leads.
