Everyone has different experiences but it absolutely did happen in the schools I went to on the east coast. Hate to say it but black kids definitely made fun of black kids who excelled academically. It toned down once you got to 11th/12th grade but it happened.
Man, even street dudes not focus on the books highlight being “street smart” or talk about how intelligent someone was who may have built some illegal business.
Point is, some of yall may have been clowned for being Randall and not for being TJ Henderson.

No one liked a tattletale. I’ll never forget that shyt when my classmate caught me opening up a letter after school and ran back and told my Math teacher.
I snapped on his ass and he ended up calling my Mom.
My Mom made me write a letter to him and I couldn’t watch TV for a whole night either.
I hate tattle tales and rats especially the ones who already got into trouble and wanna bring someone down

Good thing I went to small predominately black/mexican catholic schools back then. It was just an tad bit better than LA schools due to our class sizes but nobody played that snitching shyt

My Dad played Football and was still bringing home good grades…He grew in the 80s where u had to put on a mask. Luckily for him, he could fight
He used to check my Homework too.
If your parents didn’t check your homework, either they was dumb or too busy to care.

This post is all over the place. I opened my reply to brothazay saying that everyone's experiences are different. However, to deny this never happened in the black community is absolute bullshyt. It certainly did happen.
