We live in a society based on corporatism and race, not logic.

You only deserve what you can take in this society.

it was a yes or no question.

and i agree, so why are you too scared to take what you feel is owed?

but you just said we have to take what is owed :dwillhuh: or would you rather be a hotep and wait for the collapse of society?

If you can take it then yes but we can't.

And as far as waiting, read a newspaper and learn whats happening in the world.

okay so both you & @Poitier agree that reparations are deserved and we have a great case for it. so why ignore the pursuit of something you believe is owed? no one is saying put all our eggs in one basket. but the process should have started 40-50 yrs ago.

if wants want to bytch about black criminality, we need to talk final solutions. either they're going to soft genocide us, or rectify our economic situation. either way, the debate needs to be had. black folks are scared to say reparations, that's how scared these white folks have got us.

We don't got that many eggs left man :yeshrug:

I do agree with you, that shyt should have taken place in the 50s/60s. We shouldn't have pushed for "civil rights" movement, but a black rights movement. I really think we could have pulled reparations off back then.

and from the looks of things a soft genocide is what's been chosen :yeshrug:

So say we do undertake this...
In an undertaking like that, we will be mustering quite a bit of our economic resources. Quite a bit of our social capital and quite a bit of our national political might. Now mind you for AA's these are all things we are declining in. Hell looks like we're past our peak in those 3 things. So if we do try a collective push and don't succeed...
We WILL be in far worse shape.:snoop:

So again I ask.

What then marcuz?

If gays can lobby for marriage rights and make history, blacks can lobby for reparations.

What wealth transfer did the ruling elite class have to give gays their civil rights? Its a dumb comparison.

Gays made the same mistake that Black people did by not attaching an economic component to their movement.

Its funny how myopic people like @marcuz are though

You look around the world whether it be the Eurozone, China, Japan, Britain and Latin America and growth is either receding or stagnating. Capitalism is dying an in certain areas you have social models taking its place.

I promise you that people within the American borders will have it easier than the rest of the world as we transition from the old wage labor model, though. The ability to print money and the largest consumer base ensures that.

there's no way with what we have now that the government is going to give us reparations
we can't even get people to support black business
if we ever become financially stable and on the same page then it's possible but if you think we can get reparations with some marching and singing and the disposable job money we have you're chasing a pipe dream
