There were just as many c00ns back then as their are now. There were black groups of men that formed groups to fight the north to protect their financial interest.

This is a small fraction of the black population though (not even worth mentioning...) The vast majority of black slave owners.... bought slaves to protect other black people and their own family members from the perils of CACerism.

They did what most black people who make it out- Don't do today. You make it out the hood these days, more than likely you never look back and give no fukks about it.

Both those statements are true ...but

they're very misleading when it comes to understanding what really happened..some few Africans did participate in the slave trade for financial benefit but most of the slaves were caught by raiding parties run by Arabs and whitemen (ironically the same crews that brought christianity and islam)
Some black freedmen did own their own slaves..the number isnt that large..some estimate about 3000 some less..so to put it out there like slave owning was a diverse thing done by all kinds of people is inaccurate
