Black people celebrating moral victories...why?

It seems you think moral victories don't lead to tangible results. In case you missed it, laws are based on moral principles and, if black people claim moral victories, it influences laws and governance that benefits them.

If the source of your argument is Hollywood and representation, ask yourself how much more LGBTQ representation you're seeing and how that correlates to morality and law.

Moral victories are not for losers; in fact, the greatest victories in history were claimed on the basis of morality whether its good or evil is determined by the victor.

people were happy that a super hero movie came out with a plot that revolved around black people

Not one person I talked to or know of thought that shyt was real :dahell:
Around that time I was very invested in Pan-Africanism/consciousness so those were the kind of people I was associating with who'd take movies like Black Panther as wins and would often make claims those characters were real.

Yes and no. I dont think "small" moral victories correlates to any meaningful policy changes, 9/10 it is the movement around it. I think whats the difference on opinion between you and op he thinks people champion these moral victories as the end all be all over actual policy changes
