Just to correct you, there's tons of street level superhumans, such as Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Moon Knight.

Besides that your post is on point. T'Challa falls more in line with characters like Dr Doom and Namor, men who rule a highly advanced nation but can also wreck shyt personally. Outside of wearing a black suit with pointy ears, he has nothing in common with Batman.
Those guys are peak human not superhuman T'challa was in that league too before Hickman gave him the upgrade

How many people eager to see a black panther movie can name 3 of his villains without use of the internet? How about 1 villain?

That right there is why he hasn't got a movie yet.

Then again, ant man's villians aint that big either. I think they only giving him a movie to tie in ultron

:rudy:

Thor
Captain America
Iron Man
Ant
Guardians Of The Galaxy

Nobody knew anything about these cats before the films.

The only comic book villains really "known" pre-movies were like....a bunch of Batman villains, a bunch of Spiderman villains....General Zod....Magneto....that's it really.

Dorks should be happy that filmmakers have saved the cultural relevancy of comic books.

There is nothing peak human about Luke Cage.

@Bigbigguy and @TheGodling, it depends on how one defines "street level". If you view it as sort of a power level (synonymous with "peak human"), then guys like Current Panther, Cage, and Spider-Man are well above it. However, if you view it as the scope on which a given hero operates, then Current Panther, Cage, and Spider-Man could fit that category. To be concise, you're both right.

I was specifically talking about their villains. I feel like I could ask my parents who Green Goblin was and they probably heard of him. Red Skull? :ld:

But if we are just talking the characters in general...I'd definitely say that Thor, as a comic-book character, wasn't really that known pre-movies. People didn't really "get" the whole quasi-historical aspect of Marvel before the films....of course you may have had different experiences.Thor is weird because if you say "Loki" than people may have heard that name but not from comics....:heh:

I actually don't even think that Iron Man was really known on these streets.

Obviously Captain America was well-defined for the public.

Not really.

Captain America was moderately popular. A lot of people were familiar with his name, who he is but probably couldn't tell you anything else about his world (like villains, sidekicks.etc).

Iron Man even less so. At the most, familiar by name and appearance, but that's it.

Thor? Most people knew of Thor because of Mythology not his Marvel iteration.

and to the person who said Ant-man got a movie due to Ultron. They already confirmed that the film will have no ties to Avengers 2, it's even set to be released after A2 comes out. At this point, it's even riskier than GOTG, but they are still going through with it.

:mjlol: He's a street level character and a street level Von doom.

"Nothing like Batman" :ohhh: That's why the character is always branded as "Marvel's Batman", has a similar personality, similar origin, safeguards a location, specialises in prep and strategy and wears a Black costume that's based on an animal and has an array of gadgets :mjlol:.

Black Panther was doing prep before batman. He also was doing the having plans for friend and foe before bats as well.

Batman didn't become the prep guy he is known for until the 70s. Before that he was goofy, then before that a brood vigilante but was never using prep and having plans to take down folks like BP did in 66 against the Fantastic Four.

Black Panther is super human, I don't know any street level superhumans.

:what::laff: Spider-Man is a street level hero . A super-human CAN be a street level hero:snoop: . Look at Black Panther's villain's, not crossover villain's from another superhero but his actual villains Killmonger, M'Baku, White Wolf.

Black Panther has a similar origin as Batman :heh: you clearly know nothing about the character

:mjlol: I probably know more about the character than you. Let me now proceed to clown you. Both character's witness a murder of a parent as a young children. Bruce see's Joe Chill gun down Martha and Thomas Wayne. Whilst T'Challa see's Ulyses Klaw kill T'Chaka. Both heroes are born out of revenge and swear revenge on the killers. When they get older they both inherit fortunes. Bruce "the gawd" Wayne gets Wayne Corp(a company) whilst T'Challa "the chump" gets Wakanda(a country) through succession. Both also become expert fighters in the process and gain revenge. Bu-bu-bu-bu the origins aren't similar :laff:.

Black Panther has been wearing all black since he debuted, Batman generally wears Black and grey.

T'challa doesn't even use gadgets like that so you're wrong again. He makes weapons no gadgets

So a Kimoyo card isn't a gadget?:laff:

Cloaking technology isn't a gadget :laff:

The tech he's uses to teleport isn't a gadget? :laff:

Anti-metal claws and boots that he uses to climb and walk on walls like Spiderman aren't gadgets? :laff:

The people that call him Marvel's Batman are just as ignorant about the character as you are.

:pachaha:

He' still a Street Level Von Doom :mjlol: and a fraud Batman :mjlol:

Point 1 - T'challa hasn't fought those guys in years and I like how you left out Klaw who has pawned the Avengers and Fantastic Four by himself before. He became super human like 2 years ago and White Wolf isn't even a villain

His cloaking is part of his suit so how is it a gadget?

what he uses to teleport ism part of his suit too so how is it a gadget?

The Anti metal claws are claws which are weapons not gadgets

and like I said before the origins aren't similar. You probably got the cliffnotes off Wikipedia, if you read both you would know they aren't similar

Do you want me to own you again or do you need wikipedia again?
