The nice thing about running into "Thor: The Dark World" actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje recently is that he had so much to say about the experience and his happy relationship with Marvel that we are even more intrigued about his dual roles in the film, as well as what the future might hold for his appearing in more Marvel movies.

Maybe he's circling some work in "Guardians of the Galaxy," maybe not. But the character he's still the most passionate about is T'Challa, if a "Black Panther" movie ever happens.

"Who do I want to play him? Myself, letย’s be real," Akinnuoye-Agbaje told MTV News with a smile, when asked if he is still carrying the torch for the role. "I would hope that playing Kurse would ingratiate me to becoming the Panther. You get in and have success in one, and you go and do the next one. [My campaign] is definitely not dropped."

"Heย’s one of my faves. I would love to play him," he continued. "You have to keep at it, you have to keep your card in the hat and see what comes out but I have to say Iย’m thrilled, Iย’ve been able to play two characters in one movie and if [Marvel] likes this and it this does well, it just gives you a better chance."

But it's not like the man is getting too ahead of himself, it was obvious he loved every minute working on the "Thor" sequel, particularly his early talks with director Alan Taylor about Kurse's backstory as well as his character's lavish and outlandish wardrobe and makeup.

"I didnย’t actually know an awful lot about that character and when I did my research in the comics there wasnย’t an awful lot," Akinnuoye-Agbaje said. "But with the director and myself, we sat down and looked at what was traditionally known as Kurse and we tried to put our spin on it. There was quite a bit of creative license in how I would interpret him but the wardrobe, the setting, they were phenomenal. When I set into that outfit, I was Kurse. The did such an amazing job it made my job so easy. There were all these different factions, a different person was making the helmet, a different person making the arms, they all came together prior to the shoot, but in terms of my research before I didnย’t do an awful lot but once I got into the outfit it set it off. I think the fans are going to be pleased.

:whoa:

Michael Jai White is extremely talented, and should get as many parts as he can, don't get me wrong...

but Triple A is criminally unused. Fantastic actor, IMHO.

This is my first time hearing about him in the Thor sequel, that's great news!

Yeah, I was thinking MJW for the role but Triple A is a better idea.

What MJW needs to do is secure his role as Jax for that new MK movie coming out. :beli:

In the Silver Lining
^^^^an African should get the role

:yeshrug:

:ehh:

:maybe:

I wonder if they would feature scenes in Africa? African city? or will it find a reason to cross the Atlantic and be in the U.S. ... :lolbron: ... I don't know the comic that well...so not sure what types of things happen...

I think its going to be interesting how they market him as the star if he got the role, that name is all kind of syllables.....if I'm pronouncing his name right to myself its like 13 - 16 syllables..... I mean even Sarah Jessica Parker is just 7 syllables... .................I'm surprised his manager hasn't tried to market him as Triple A ... :bryan:

First time using it. I could have typed AAA though

When I talk about him I say Adewale and always forget how to spell or say the rest of his name. When people don't know who I'm talking about I say Adebisi.

When people don't know Adebisi...

I say "Not bad for a Medjai!"

and then people are like :ohhh:

No....

This dude has let himself go physically. In order to play Panther you gotta be in top physical condition.

I'm not even mad at Marvel for holding off on the Black Panther movie because out of ALL the Marvel movies, THAT'S the one I can't have them fukkin up on.

I'd rather they take their time and get the correct actor to play T'Challa and put together a great script rather than rush something out just to catch the Avengers hype.
