It looks awkward as hell, and the game made it worse by having the R2 prompt flashing like you have to time the holds with each jump but you don’t.

Just gotta hold R2 from the moment it starts, through all 3 of the jumps start til it ends. Then do the second hold

It works on the first jump but keep failing on the 2nd jump

That tripped me up the first time I tried it. I let go of the button after the first jump because I thought I was supposed to.

Just keep your finger held on R2, no matter what you see on the screen. Keep holding it, until you see a fiery field in front of you.
I kept getting knocked off by letting the button go because I thought I needed to grab on when he looked like he slipped. Just hold that shyt.

Beat it earlier this week. Despite the flaws this is a great game and a must play this year. This is about as hard of a game as I want to play though and I'm taking a break on my next game.

Top 5 Hardest bosses imo:
1. Erlang by a mile (fukk this dude tbh)
2. Yaksha King
3. Yellow Loong
4. Yellow Wind Sage
5. Duskveil[
I ended up beating the 2nd phase final boss on my first attempt. Made full use of everything I had and finished him with Big Headbutt. It would've taken me a lot longer if I didn't handle him 1st try bc he was a problem/SPOILER]

I'm the same. I don't like playing those super hard type games, so this game is as difficult of a game that I ever want to play. I'm glad that Game Science seemed to have fixed those bugs that reviewers were experiencing in their review copies of the game because outside of the occasional frame-rate drop, I didn't experience any bad bugs (however they did forget to place subtitles in a particular cutscene after the Erlang fight, so if you have Chinese audio you have no idea what was being said in that part of the cutscene)

My top 5 hardest bosses were
  1. Erlang (by many miles)
  2. Yellow Loong
  3. Yin Tiger
  4. Captain Wise Ass
  5. tie between Duskveil and Hundred Eye Doaist

I'm going to do New Game+ in English audio. I missed a lot of dialogue that happens mid-fight because I can't read subtitles while I'm actively fighting.

I've beaten "Dark Souls" 1-3, all DLC, "Bloodborne" and the DLC, "Elden Ring" and the DLC, "Lies Of P", etc....

The last boss and Erlang are the cheapest bosses in any game like this. They aren't even fun.

I beat the last boss, currently on Erlang. They are not difficult in a fair way. They're just cheap as f*ck. Both have moves that make the camera go berserk....both have moves that nullify 90% of your abilities....both lock you into a long ass animation if you get caught in certain attacks....

Yes I know there's several builds that trivialize them. I didn't do that for the final boss, and I'm trying not to do that for Erlang. My point is, if you play the game as it's intended it's a random number generator as to whether or not you'll win.

Game is dope but the last two bosses ventured into some of the WOAT soulsborne boss design choices I've ever seen.

Fred.
