Didn't know what to expect since its been so long since I heard Da Beatminerz production but this shyt is pretty dope. If they can still make beats like this why have they been MIA?

they havent dropped shyt like this since Smif N Wessuns Reloaded album 15 years ago. everything i had heard was a lazy, slowed down rock sample. this sounds like a modern Black Moon record, hard to pull off

know whats fukked up? Nottz had this big plan for the next like 5 years a few years ago, couple EPs a year. this is a guy with plaques, hits and respect. he said when he reached out to actually get some shyt done, Bumpy and Mickey Factz were the only 2 that ever followed up

i guess you can add Blu to that list, but yea like 3 guys out of about 50. Beatminerz fell off pretty hard for a minute, this is easily their best work of the 00s to me. Pete will get resurrected again by Griselda, not that he needs them but ive already seen guys reach out to him that hadnt before :yeshrug:

and speaking of which....all three of those Nottz albums were straight fire. I just recently discovered the Mickey Factz one. Beatminerz been missing for a while. Last thing I remember them doing was "New Day" off of Torae's unreleased then released EP "Off the Record" which was a bangin track but wasnt on the main album "For the Record"

Black Moon might now have one of the most perfect discographies.

This is vintage Black Moon that sounds like it coulda dropped in 98 or 99 yet fits right in with 2019. Defiantly has a constant rotation type of record appeal to it.

You can listen to the texture of the beats and tell this was a slow cook, not no quick put together shyt. As if they really took time to put this together.

Gotta salute when the vets can do it right decades after their prime. De La, Tribe, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Bizzy Bone, Nas and now Black Moon.

I know they did the diggin in the vaults joint but I wish they would release Enta Da Stage with all the remixes and bsides as a second disc.

Good question. I'm not sure but I always got the impression they didn't produce much outside of the BCC camp.

And on those BCC albums that followed, those were mostly produced by 9th Wonder, Marco Polo, and some others. I know they didn't do anything on the final Heltah Skeltah or Sean Price (RIP) albums.

Even on the last Black Moon album before this one I think they only did half of it. Matter of fact this new one might be the first Beatminerz produced Black Moon album since the 90's. EDIT: Yep. War Zone in 1999 is the last fully Beatminerz produced Black Moon album.
:mindblown:
