Its clear Jones has no intention of winning. Even when faced with the obvious decision to make a coaching change he rather have control than a real head coach.

Garrett has a 10 yr body of work and ge is not going to magically turn into a SB winning coach. Cowboys vastly underchieved because of coaching but Jones wants a company man.
And this is why he held on for so long because Garrett could be the last company man and at his age, he may not want to deal with the bs that comes with being a puppeteer. By the end of the next contract, He will be 80 years old. He will give up more control in the coming years.

BUT.... Guys like Lawrence, chidobe, Amari, etc... are also using garrett as a scapegoat when they underperformed all season.... So if he does come back, how will those guys perform?
I mean Amari’s toughness is being questioned though he was hurt this year. But he did have a career year in yards. He was not that bad.
