To play devil’s advocate, a lot of Black parents (not mine) cut their children off financially when they turn 18. There are entire threads on here about that. Can’t have it both ways. Cut off or not 18 year olds are idiots but don't realize they are still idiots. It's cool to be independent. At 18 I was in another country on my own with no family trying to survive.
