Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (Official Thread)

Anybody else in here a fan of the UK television series "Black Mirror"? I think it's the type of show that would make a great discussion thread but I'll keep this post relatively low on detail so not to spoil anything.

For those who don't know Black Mirror is created by Charlie Brooker who describes it as follows:

"each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy."

The show has got a Twilight Zone vibe, with a heavy emphasis on modern technology and the effect it has on society. Series one ran in 2011, and the second series just finished airing on Monday.

Excellent series, if you haven't seen it I'd highly recommend doing so.

i saw the first "season" a few days ago....the only story that truly grabbed me was the last one with the memory implant cuz the ending had me like

Yeah, recently read that he and Clooney were both going after it. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it for sure.

That was actually my least favorite episode from the original series but I still liked it a lot.

I watched the first season earlier last year on a recommendation from a podcast and it was amazing. I showed everyone who I thought had a brain because it was so well put together. Season two just premiered recently if I'm not mistaken.

Unfortunately for us in the US, the only way to get it is illegally.

I watched the first season earlier last year on a recommendation from a podcast and it was amazing. I showed everyone who I thought had a brain because it was so well put together. Season two just premiered recently if I'm not mistaken.

Unfortunately for us in the US, the only way to get it is illegally.

Yep, same here. If it comes out on DVD or Blu-Ray somewhere around my way I'll show my support, for now I'm just glad there's a download available.

Holla at ya boy. Great podcast, suggestions can be hit or miss but I've definitely got into a lot of things they talk about on the show.

I'd recommend another TV series called Utopia

Waldo was for sure my least favorite of the two seasons. My rankings look something like this:

1. 15 million merits (season 1 episode 2)
2. White Bear (season 2 episode 2)
3. The National Anthem (season 1 episode 1)
4. The Entire History of You (season 1 episode 3)
5. Be Right Back (season 2 episode 1)
6. Waldo (season 2 episode 3)


Just added Utopia to my list of shows to check, is it similar to Black Mirror?
