Just finished USS Callister. It also reminded me a little of "Shut Up and Dance" when...
They were telling the real girl where they were going to upload the photos and they ended with
"...and PornHub!"
For I second, I thought that they might actually tie this one into "Shut Up and Dance" for real. Like, after they escaped onto the Internet they would get sick of all the filth they found and start making blackmail calls from the bridge of their ship. So then the retroactive twist from Shut Up and Dance would be that the blackmail calls were coming from "Cookies", including two with high level programming/hacking abilities.

About the ending
It also had a "happy" ending, until you realize that the CTO character was only being mean to video game characters (which we all do) and will probably be stuck in his chair until he starves to death (with his door set to "Do Not Disturb").
