This album is sonically superb,sequencing is impeccable.
Black held it down on the mic.
The album is pure funky grooves ,start to finish.
It's reminiscent of a less 'out there' electric circus by common .
The growth of Black Milk as an artist is great to hear.

gotta check this out. black milk is a solid dude. met him once in passing at Fat Beats like 12 or 13 years ago and been low key kinda checking in on him ever since. im not the biggest fan of 'that' sound but Milk does it better than anyone out right now. Whenever i wanna have a taste of that sound he's the one I turn to (pause).... no one else should even really try with him in the game that's all him now

Brehs can we talk for a minute on the evolution of Black Milk? Very few artists show growth or a shift in music from album to album. Especially in rap, where most artists are chasing their last hit. Black Milk came into the game like many people, chopping soul samples...but also having those Detroit drums. But each album has found him going into different territory, from synths to jazz to more instrumental shyt. And his rapping has improved too. I remember thinking he was awkward on the mic at the beginning, when I first heard Sound Of The City. He was probably on par with Kanye's early early raps to me. But whereas Kanye has regressed as a rapper, BM keeps improving.

Daps to the man. This album is legit.

I've been a fan since Don't Hang Up in 2004 when he was in a group called BR Gunna (with Young RJ and Fat Ray I believe)



It's amazing to see and hear how far he's come. Even though I've always liked him, I wouldn't have been surprised if he just faded out and stopped making music.

2004 was a long time ago, and to think of all the people I've liked from back then who probably have 9-5s now, and Milk is still doing it, and not only doing it but getting better and better, and switching it up every time.

Hats off to the man.

Dude is a dope rapper and an amazing producer. Imo he needs to work with more rappers for real cause the game needs more of his beats moving through it.

With that said I look forward to dudes new music. I still vibe out to that If there is a hell below album..

What sound are you speaking of? Soulful or boom bap?

This album is sounding very nice. I'm going to have to check out his other stuff. He's one of those rappers that I've never bothered to check out for some reason.

Black Milk never disappoints.

I'm loving the vibe on this album. Production and lyrics are on point, as usual. Been playing this nonstop since it dropped.

once I let it marinate for a few months this will probably stand up as my favorite album from him(until the next one), I like where the direction in his music has gone since No Poison No Paradise. He's developed a nice balance of live instrumentation with programmed/chopped beats after faltering a bit with Album of The Year(I still cant get with that album).

TRUE young GOAT anybody wait to slap this ... he’s one of the few artist that I don’t even waste time doing a trial listen on before buying the album ... I already know it’s going to be quality
