Americans don't want to fix their own problems, they want someone else to fix them. That's why most of y'all are fukked up

Breh My Pastor ended up getting cancer. He was a big strong proud guy, within a week had guy on chemo, within a month was frail and week sitting in a wheel chair, dead in August.


My mother believes in alkalinity and things like you say as a preventive measure, she was suggesting this to people in the church, and they essentially blew her off

A lot of religious people don't really get it on a spiritual level. A lot of mentally ill people live in an isolated state. They could use a real hand not just empty prayers. Black people with mental health issues get little to no respect in their own communities for being sick.

We have the lowest suicide (and maybe depresission too?) rates among the compared groups.

Also not as far gone on the opiods either. Possibly because black folks dont see doctors often enough to get prescribed and subsequently hooked on a pill for their "clinical depression" or anxiety.

I think the only way to truly combat mental illness will ultimately lie in Neuroscience. The more we learn about the brain and consciousness in the coming years could potentially lead to cure.

But the downside is that once all of so called mental illness is elminated then creavity will decrease. Think of all the great artist, musicians, philosophers, actors, writers, mathematicians etc who probably wouldn't have done what they've done if they weren't a little touched.

We wouldn't have ODB, Michael Jackson, Tupac or Left Eye's wonderful and beautiful contributions to the arts if that spark inside them which made them "unique" didn't exist. (Yes Pac was a lil crazy, that's why we fukked with him)


Also since we're bickering about God and religion now, I'm pretty sure our religions of today probably wouldn't exist if there weren't crazy people in the desert claiming they heard voices and seen visions

Thereluctance to seek mental health treatment is a result of the historical prejudice anddiscrimination found in the healthcare system
